About Zazà Damò
Zazà Damò was born from the desire to keep small stories alive.
Vintage fabrics, fragments of old garments and forgotten objects are given a new life and transformed into one-of-a-kind lamps, candles and small objects. Each of these pieces carries traces of a previous life — textures, colors and memories from another time.
Not reproduced — reborn.
Alongside these singular creations, Zazà Damò also develops small design editions: objects inspired by personal memories and family archives, reinterpreted through contemporary materials and forms. Some begin from an original textile; others from the feeling it carried.
Some pieces are reborn.

Both carry a story.
At the heart of Zazà Damò lies the dialogue between old and new.

It is not only about objects; it is also a meeting point with contemporary art. We host works by emerging artists and create collaborations where their vision meets the world of Zazà — limited editions, creative dialogues and new pieces inspired by artistic ideas.

All creations are made in Athens, slowly, in small quantities, with respect for what existed before and curiosity for what it can become.

Zazá Damò was the way my son used to call his grandmother, Mando, when he was little. ~His own words for “yiayia Mando”.
Yiayia is the Greek word for grandma, and Damò, is an anagram of Mado, her real name, gently transformed into something new.
Those two playful words carried all the tenderness of our family and, without knowing it, became the beginning of this story.
When I started working with my grandmother’s fabrics, trying to bring them back to light through new creations, the name returned naturally. It felt like a bridge:
from her hands to mine,
from the past to the future,
shaping what we live today.
