Silk Cut
Table Lamp
Table Lamp
A layered composition of memory and contrast.
The shade is crafted from a 1990s silk textile associated with the iconic violet aesthetic of the Silk Cut era — preserved from a campaign photographed by the designer’s uncle. Decades later, the fabric finds a new form.
The base is wrapped in a 1950s cotton-silk upholstery textile, originally part of the designer’s grandmother’s bridal bedroom.
Two different decades.
Two different intimacies.
One composed structure.
Bold in color. Grounded in memory.
Designed and assembled in Athens.
